[Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: Close but no cigar. Let's be honest with ourselves: we have a very clear track record: if there aren't civilians around we tend to pull out our troops when things get tough. Sure there's international opposition to the settlements - just as there is international opposition to French Hill and Ramat Eshkol!! The world isn't so happy about our presence at the Western Wall in the Old City either for that matter.
So when you want to pitch a policy you should come to grips with the problem that when the settlements are removed its an open invitation to increase the pressure to the point that we retreat.
Want an example? Sure. At the early stages of talk about the retreat from the Gaza Strip almost everyone with any kind of defense orientation INSIDE the Sharon administration was confident the IDF would continue being deployed in the Philadelphi Corridor running between Sinai and the Gaza Strip. But once we started bulldozing settlements the idea was dropped.]

Another young American man has given his life while fighting in the ranks of Islamist terrorists abroad. But this time, instead of being met with universal condemnations and scorn, the young terrorist is being greeted with sympathetic news accounts and “even-handed” statements from the State Department – all because he joined a politically correct terror group affiliated with the Palestinians.

That is the reason why Egypt is planning a Buffer Zone between them and Gaza.
Rafah border will remain closed.
Where is the Press reporting it?
Via INN: Egypt has ordered residents living along the country's eastern border with Gaza to evacuate within 48 hours but put that on hold after they protested, The Associated Press (AP) reported on Tuesday.
The ultimatum is part of Egypt's buffer zone plan, which follows a lethal terror attack last Friday that killed 31 Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai Peninsula.
The homes evacuated will be demolished and a buffer zone set up to stop weapons and terrorist trafficking between Egypt and Gaza, officials told AP.

An Iraqi Kurdish TV station recently broadcast a parody of ISIS, with bearded men playing air guitar on rifles, playing with skulls, and dancing with swords.
The Israeli high-tech arms manufacturer, Rafael, is set to unveil the maritime version of a hugely successful anti-missile interceptor at this week’s prestigious Euronaval trade show in Paris, which opens Monday.

An ITV News video shows an ISIS convoy travelling through the city, with the militants showing off the weapons and vehicle they seized as the Iraqi army fled. The footage shows two small boys, one armed with an assault rifle, which has a telescopic sight attached. Humans Rights Watch says that in Syria, ISIS has already recruited young children as 'snipers' - this could be an indication that the Iraq conflict may see the same.
IsraAID has joined the international relief effort to help the Yazidi, Christian and other refugees. Together with its partner organizations, among them ONEXONE, IsraAID has been operating in the Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI),supporting displaced Christians and Yazidis living in camps and temporary shelters. In the KRI there are now more than 1.4 million internally displaced people and 200,000 Syrian refugees fleeing ISIS. Most arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and with winter approaching the situation is increasingly desperate.
To respond to these pressing needs, IsraAID and its partners are distributing blankets, mattresses and other emergency supplies to thousands of refugees.
To date, 2,000 blankets and mattresses as well as food for 1,000 babies have been distributed to over 1,000 families seeking refuge in the Kurdish Region of Iraq. Read more..
