News and views from an Israeli girl
Lorraine Levy's 'The Other Son', a drama about the ramifications of a baby switch in an Israeli hospital, has grabbed two top honours at the 25th Tokyo International Film Festival.
The film charts the life of a young man living in Tel Aviv who discovers after taking a blood test that he is actually the son of a Palestinian family living in the West Bank, which had raised the son of the Tel Aviv family due to a maternity ward mistake.
Director Lorraine Levy's French-Israeli production took the best film award, as well as the prize for best director.
